Most people have never heard of a tide clock. A tide clock movement is provided, positioned within and supported by the base. A cylindrical element is provided comprising a cylindrical surface element with indicia thereon. A tide clock employs a tide dial and a solar time dial which are rotatably driven at different uniform rates by a timepiece. The time of the next high or low tide is indicated by alignment of selected indicia on the dials. A tide clock is a great way to learn about the cycle of the ocean, its ebb and flow, and you’re never too old or young to learn such information. All of our tide clocks are of the best quality so you can accurately predict the activity of the ocean.
A tide clock is for a stationary location and as such will southerly work in any location. It will have to be reset anytime it is regularly moved. A tide clock is a must for any Cape Cod home. Having a clock on the same face allows you to easily see not only what the current tide is but when it is going to be high or low by adding or subtracting approximately six hours.
